About

Why we are called Health Parallax

One health picture, seen from two places. That idea comes from the way astronomers measure the stars.

Illustration: Earth at two points of its orbit, each with a line rising to the same gold star. Below the star, a report sits where a gold ring and a navy ring overlap, with a phone showing the Health Parallax app on one side and a stethoscope on the other.
Two views of one report meet at the same point.

The story behind the name

To find out how far away a nearby star is, astronomers look at it twice, six months apart. In that time, Earth travels to the other side of its orbit around the Sun.

Seen from those two positions, the star seems to shift a little against the far more distant stars behind it. That shift is called parallax. Measure its angle, and you can work out the star's distance.

One star. Two places to look from. A clearer answer.

Two angles on your care

Your health has the same two angles. Your doctor sees it from one side: your results, your prescription, when to come back, and the changes to make at home. You see it from the other side, and from there the picture is often unclear.

Many people leave an appointment unsure what their results mean, why a medicine was prescribed, when the next check-up is due, or which changes matter most. That confusion is common. It can lead to missed doses, skipped follow-ups and needless worry, and it can affect how well people recover.

Health Parallax brings your angle into focus. We explain your reports, prescriptions, follow-up plans and lifestyle advice in plain language, so you see the same picture as your doctor and know what to do next.
